Shayla Titus: Instructor

Shayla first discovered circus by quite literally “running away” to Circus Smirkus every summer for 6 years, until college called her full focus for a couple years. After graduating from Northeastern University, she couldn’t resist returning to the circus—and this time, she plans to stay for good! Outside of her corporate career, she proudly calls circus her greatest passion and creative outlet.

Over the past 14+ years, Shayla has trained at Circus Smirkus, NECCA, Gravity Alternative Movement, and right here at Circus Complex, continually expanding her skills and deepening her love for the art form. While her specialties are rope and lyra, she’s always eager to explore other apparatuses—and will happily teach them, especially if asked nicely of course.

In addition to choreographing and teaching, Shayla serves as President of the Circus Complex Board, where she helps guide the studio’s mission and uphold the values that make it a welcoming, inspiring community for all.
